You can now go live on Instagram for up to 4 hours. The new update is a significant increase from the previous timeframe of 60 minutes. Users will also now be able to view their live streams in their archive for up to 30 days after they air, with an option to download the content and post it elsewhere.
Instagram has agreed to update its terms to make sure that influencers have clearly labelled posts that have been paid for or incentivized by advertisers. A technology will identify when a post has not been properly labelled, and even prompts users to confirm whether their post is paid to promote a product or service. Instagram also says that labelled posts will not be treated differently from organic posts, so creators shouldn’t worry about their content getting demoted by Instagram’s algorithm.
Businesses can now create Instagram ads with Product Tags on photo, video and carousel ads from scratch in the platform’s Ads Manager. In addition , Instagram has also introduced new shopping engagement custom audiences and shopping lookalike audiences, enabling brands to reach consumers who have already shown interest in their product or brand by doing things such as saving a product, viewing a shop or initiating a purchase.
