Instagram is testing a feature that will allow Instagram users to see more Stories at once, both on the home screen and in a new Stories-only experience. Users will initially see two rows of Stories instead of one at the top of the screen. A button will also appear beneath this expanded Stories area that lets you “See All Stories”.
WhatsApp has announced the rollout of QR codes and catalog sharing for businesses using its WhatsApp Business app. The feature lets people start chats with a business on WhatsApp by merely scanning the QR code they find in a physical location – a storefront, a product, a receipt, etc. Previously, people would have to add a business’ WhatsApp number to their contacts, and that wasn’t very convenient.
LinkedIn has rolled out a range of new tweaks, including a new audio option for pronunciation on user profiles, and an alternative process for limiting company page invites. For Company Pages, LinkedIn has also added a new Follower analytics section, which allows admins to see a full list of every person that’s followed the Page, sorted in reverse chronology.
A new study analysed 31,500 photographs from 185 countries on social media tagged as #vacations, #fun and #honeymoons found they were more likely to contain elements of nature such as plants, water and natural landscape, highlighting a positive association between nature and happiness globally.
