Gillian will be joined by Joe Purves, AMY Award Winner for “Digital Person of the Year”, Joe is a User Experience (UX) professional with 18 years of industry experience and a passion for creativity and design aesthetics. He has worked in the UK, USA, Asia, and Australia for clients such as Jurlique, CommBank, Citibank, Optus, Telstra, Virgin and JSHealth. Joe’s curious nature urges him to understand the technology, the business goals, and the user needs before he embarks on the design process.
Evolving from his previous role as an Executive Creative Director, beyond the more artistic and creative flair of his role, his responsibilities include helping brands transform their business digitally. His design team is composed of a diverse range of unique digital specialists under his visionary leadership. They live by their motto of purposeful design – this means defining and refining the strategy, so the digital projects achieve business goals that add value to people’s lives.
Joe continues his mission in 2020; to have empathy for both stakeholders and customers and strives to make every digital experience websites, useful, visually-pleasing and highly immersive. His specialities are websites, web apps, mobile apps, landing pages and eCommerce. As a founder of a multi-award winning agency, called DMG, he has now sold the agency and has joined 6AM as the Digital Director. On top of AMY’s Award for “Digital Person of the Year”, Joe is a multi-Award Winner and his passions are within the health, sustainability and design arenas.
